My last weekend at the canbury...

For those who popped in early this week and thought they may have seen a CSI style tent and lights behind the bar can relax. I have not gone nuts and taken my frustrations out on the back of house area, we were simply holding a photo shoot for some of food! (which if you haven't tried some of the stuff on the new menu, then why not!?!?!)

News!!

I'm sure most of you have heard by now, but we have taken over the running of a new pub!!

I would like to take this time to invite you to come see us @ The Alexandra, on the corner of Tudor Road and Park road (kt2 6as for those with satnavs, 2 blocks over from The Potterie for those pounding the pavement!)

The Alex boasts a giant garden, good beers, good food (the kitchen is now up and running!), tv's for the footie, and a Canbury quality!

We hope to see you all there soon! (but don't forget about us here @the canbury!)

Want to support your country this summer? Come down to the canbury where you'll be able to watch England win (or lose)!!

Kicking off at 7.30 on the 12th for England v USA....

We have a huge tv set up in the awening and will be providing excellent food and drink to your table!

A quick note: we are only going to be showing the England games and space will be limited, with preference going to our loyal Canbury club members!!

( I think we need everybody to cross all available fingers and toes and pray we last the group stages!!)

New for 2010

Today we are launching our new "Express Lunch Menu".

In addition to our main menu we now offer a daily changing express lunch menu. Dishes are available to eat in or take away, priced at an amazing £5 (£4.25 with a Corporate Club Card) and designed for a speedy service if you are on a short lunch break.

Today's menu is Chicken and Coconut Curry with Basmati Rice, Slow Braised Lamb Ratatouille with Cous Cous, Mixed Seafood Bouillabaisse with Baked Bread, Spaghetti with Tomatoes Olives and Capers, Shepherds Pie with a Goats Cheese Crust, Beef Bourguignon with New Potatoes.

We hope you enjoy sampling all the new dishes on our regularly changing menu and better still, for almost the price of a sandwich! (Join our Canbury Club or Canbury Corporate Club for optimum benefit)

The most necessary purchase of the year so far!

So who knew anti-freeze could indeed freeze?

I found that out when I tried to leave the pub after we shut on Thursday...

Going back to work...

I'm sure that those of you who have to commute up town saw a lot of these angry faces this morning!
